My baby Girl!

Oh yeah I guess I should include a picture of my sweet baby girl!!

U/S and Reveal

I had my Ultrasound on Friday morning, both my mom and Mark came. It went well. First I had mark come in to do all the necessary medical measurements and then my mom was able to come into the room and check out Bug. The Tec was fairly nice, she let me know what she was measuring and showed me everything on the screen. She said that bug was like a gymnast all curled up with its legs over its head, sucking on its knee. Bug wasnt being super cooperative and she wasnt sure she got all of the measurements. Well turns out the dr today told me she did and everything looked GREAT. I am growing a perfectly healthy baby. I cant be happier :) Well maybe I can a tad bit and here's why.... Both Mark and I decided that we were and are going to be celebrating everything about this pregnancy. So we wanted to do a small gender reveal party for close friends and family. We wanted the tec to write down the gender of our sweet bug on a piece of paper and have a friend stuff a cupcake with pink or blue icing. Well this tec said she could not do that but if she could tell the gender that she would have to tell us. Well God had a different plan, he wanted it to be done OUR way. Thank you Lord. We were not able to find ut the gender at this ultrasound, so when we left I called a private place in Kelowna and they were able to fit us in in the perfect time slot for our day. When we got there the Tec began the U/S and was able to tell the gender. She did not show us but instead wrote it down on a piece of paper like we were hoping for. She was Great!! She showed us Bugs chubby cheeks, long legs, big feet, and even a tuff of hair..... So cute and what a wonderful experience.

Saturday came and so did the Gender reveal party. Both Mark and I had no idea what we were having, only the baker (a close friend who was there that day) knew. At the reveal I had people guess boy or girl and grab a prop depending on that guess to take a group shot. I really wanted to record who guessed what. Well my husband was certain bug was a boy, and I had a huntch Bug was a girl. It seemed that most people went with my husband and guessed boy. There were only 4 people including myself to guess girl, the rest (14ish) guessed boy. I thought there is no way all these people can be wrong I must be wrong. Well turns out that I wasnt and we are having a little GIRL!!! I am so thrilled. It took a good couple of days for that one to sink in.

I have since gone clothes shopping for her and have had a blast doing so :)

A bug from within!!

Mark and I just got back from Langley today. We had to go down for his work and had a great time. We got to go to a couple baby stores, love doing this!! We didnt buy anything too exciting just a snuggli carrier. Mark told me he would wear baby. I cant wait to see this :) We were driving home this morning and shortly after leaving Bug decided he/she wanted some attention!! Bug began "swimming around" (not too uncommon have felt this for a little while now) but then proceeded to "beat" me up. He/She was super strong today. I can say officially for the first time I felt a kick (or punch) and it startled me each time. I LOVE IT!!!

I have had a really great pregnancy so far. A few weeks of constant nausea and some exhaustion but all in all not bad. I found out a little while ago that this pregnancy has brought on a Hypothyroid. I am on some meds but I think thats why I am so tired. The drugs may need to be increased. My thyroid is only out a little bit but enough to cause drugs to fix. My dr. is very happy though because it is easily treatable and not harmful to the baby at all. So far so good. I have a Glucose test sometime this week or next. Its a 2 hr one instead.... boo!!

Baby Bug says hi!

Just thought I would share with everyone the beautiful sound of my baby's heartbeat. It is the best sound in the world. I could sit here and listen to it all day long. The little stinker made it difficult to capture as he/she kept moving around, only "daddy" could find bug. We measured it at 144bpm. I am so in love! Hope you guys enjoy :)
